Just finished teaching at the North Carolina Quilt Symposium in Asheville, NC. Normally, I don't get a chance to see much of the cities I teach in but this time, it was different.
I heard Asheville was a fabulous place — full of artists and creative people so I wanted to stay an extra day so I could explore and experience the ambiance. Luckily, the quilting guild ranged for me to have someone who could give me a tour after my last class and she took me for a drive to see the Biltmore Estates and the grounds. What a wonderful tour! She knew everything and shared the history and current activities at this beautiful place. So, after working hard for 3 days, I had some down time and my spirit is renewed.
