I would like a colored hard copy of In Stitches Vol. “5″ if it is available.
Is this possible?
Bev
Hi Bev,
Unfortunately, no. It is not a book or printed magazine since it has video embedded into it. However, I believe you can print out all the articles (a bit of a pain but I think it’s the only way!
Carol Ann, your website is super duper fantastic. I loved browsing it, and will probably take one of your classes one day. Thanks!
Thanku lovely videos
I’m glad you like them!
I hope you do and thanks for the comments!
Thanks for your nice videos.I am really impressed by what you can do using different stitches but how can you manage if you don’t have the right foot for couching?Merry Christmas and a creative New Year.
Just use your regular zig zag foot. You just have to go slower to keep the foot in the middle of your cord. Happy holidays to you too!
I loved watching your videos. Hope to take a class soon
Thanks! It’s really fun teaching online!
Wow…. you make couching look so easy! You’ve got my creative threads popping, perhaps I’ll take your online class since I can’t make it to Denver. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Couching IS easy! And fun! If you want to take my class click on the link on my home page and it will save you 50%!
Somehow the Craftsy website came on my computer screen. I am so amazed at all of the beautiful pieces of textile art you have created. Wow! I live in Littleton, and hope that you will teach some classes locally. I will be there for sure.
Thank you! I teach at Wooden Spools, 2805 South Broadway, in Englewood. My next class will be on April 30, 2012 from 10-5pm. To register, call (303) 761-9231. Hope to see you there!
Carol,
I just finished your stitch class at Craftsy. Then I came to Littleton to see family and to visit quilt shops.
I was so excited to see your sample in person at Wooden Spools. I also bought your book since I will not be here for the book signing.
I can’t wait to work on some stitch projects.
Do you mind if I use some of your ideas in quilt classes I teach? I would require they buy your book and ideas would be credited to you.
Thanks for taking my class and buying my book. I have responded directly to you via email!
I’ll soon be enrolling in one of your Craftsy classes whichever will start me creating. I live in Australia in a regional area in Qld so am so looking forward to purchasing your book and threads package. Warm wishes, Nina
I look forward to having you in my class!
do you have instructional videos i may purchase? i am really interested in your stitch and slash.
thank you,
sylvia
Hi Sylvia,
I have something better than a DVD. I teach this online at http://www.Craftsy.com. It’s a fun class and their platform is excellent.
Carol, do you have any information on how you mount your work available anywhere? If so, can you drop me an email?
Sure. I will email you the specifics.
I have taken both of your classes on Craftsy and they are wonderful. Your sense of humor (“Ask me how I know”) keeps me smiling and your “No Mistakes” philosophy is reassuring. It’s great to be able to watch the whole class and then circle back to a specific lesson that I need to see again. When is your next class going to be available?
Hi Mary, Thanks for your kind words1 I’m so glad you enjoy my classes. I don’t have another class planned at the moment but I will be teaching in person on a Craftsy Cruise next March so I’m working on developing some new ideas for the people who will be cruising with me in the Caribbean. I don’t know when they will announce this but I will let my students know when I know!
Hi Carol.
I have a question.
Why do don“t use the couching foot number 12 or 21 from Bernina
You can use the #12. I just prefer a plastic (rather than metal) foot so I can see better.
Is it possible to see / purchase the above video? I received a copy of it via Bernina in October, but hadn’t realised that it was only available until the end of October.
Unfortunately, I don’t have control over this video. But I do teach online at http://www.Craftsy.com where you can purchase my class showing how to make Stupendous Stitching pieces.
Hello Carol,
This is my first time that I seen or heard of you.I have always loved fabric, still collect it.I have taken apart clothing {when I was a kid, because we didn’t have the money to buy new clothing}I made new clothes from the fabric of taken apart from clothing.I love what you do,fabrics are so much more beautiful today with all the colors, textures .I look forward to learning more from you.
A New Fan..
I’m glad you found me and thanks for writing. I agree with you. Fabric is so wonderful these days. So much to choose from. But deconstructing and reconstructing from the past is also a way we can honor the women who have gone before us.
What a well written book; helped this novice at sewing to complete a satisfactory project before taking a class. This book also assists someone new to the world of sewing, to become very familiar with their machine and it’s stitches. I highly recommend your book “Stupendous Stitching”.
Can you tell me where I may order ‘black’ rattail cording. I have only been able to locate ‘white’ rattail cording.
Thank you,
Barbara
Thanks for your kind words! I order my 2MM rattail cord from http://www.satincordandmore.com They have black.
Where can I get what you called a “reference book” that you use to keep your stitching samples? It was shown on show # 1102 on PBS Quilting Arts TV on 4/13/2013.
Thanks
Marge
Hi Marge.
You can’t buy this, you have to make it yourself. Come stitch with me! I’m showing all the pages on my blog every Wednesday.
