I had a wonderful day yesterday. I had a chance to hear a presentation by fiber artist Valerie White and what an amazing woman she is! Not only did she have us laughing for almost a full hour, her stories touched our hearts and souls and her humbling approach to showing how she became such a fabulous fiber artist made us all feel that anything is possible if you work at it hard enough.
Valerie moved to Denver about a year go and we are so lucky to have her creative spirit and warm personality. Her inspiring attitude will uplift and support our fiber art community and I am blessed to call her a friend.
If you ever get a chance to see her work up close, don’t miss it!

Carol, I can’t agree with you more. Valerie White was such an inspiration as she shared with us her “Journey” to where she is now as such a talented and gracious fiber artist.
Wa Shonaji Quilt Guild is so honored that she chose us as a place to present her trunk show as she settles into the Art World here in Denver.
In Gratitude,
Joanne
I am so excited to see Valerie still moving and shaking up the quilt world. I first met Valerie when she joined Uhuru Quilters Guild, Washington DC Metropolitan area. She is a dear friend, colleage and mentor.
I can see you and Valerie share a painterly style. (love your piece hanging in the Walter Reed Army Medical Center). Maybe you’ll find yourself in Denver and we can all have lunch!
Thank you Carol, I do love to draw and paint, especially on fabric.
Lunch sounds great!
Because of your class Stupendous Stitching, I have fallen in love with my machine, again.
That makes me happy! I hope we meet in person one day.
