“I so enjoyed taking your class!  Thanks so much.  The best thing about this class was that it opened up for me the artistic experience.  I’m always following rules, working on the technical part of my sewing, doing something and then if it’s not good enough, taking it out and doing it again.  This class gave me permission to flow with the project, do something, look at it, and decide what the piece needs next. My overall experience in taking this class was amazing!  I think I will look back at this class as a turning point for me in my projects.  This is what I needed to inspire me to take what I do and make it art – not just a pretty quilt, or a wall hanging, or table runner. You are an amazing teacher.  You manage to have so much personality and still support the students in finding their voice and their way.  It’s a really delicate balance, and you do it very well.”

“When I walked out on Saturday at the end of the class another lady from the class walked out with me and we both had a smile on our face and said “What a fun class.”  I really enjoyed the class, everyone was very pleasant and having a good time. I really like your teaching style - you don’t criticize anyone for what they’ve done, you just help them figure a way around it.

“I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed your class more than any class I’ve taken in a long time! It was great fun and because you “drove” us to get it finished it will be easy for me to do a little troubleshooting for the next one. (I will remember NO planning and NO mistakes).”

Thank YOU for being such a good teacher.  I have my piece lying on a table in the sunlight, and can’t stop admiring it.  I can’t wait to make another one, knowing what I know now–using that fabulous fat quarter I just bought:) You are so generous to share your intellectual capital and artistry.

“I loved the class. The best thing about the class is learning all the stitches on my sewing machine and the spectacular project we work on.  I think you are very organized and clear in your instructions. Also you spaced the demos well so that we could work in a fairly uninterrupted fashion. The overall experience was great.
