One of the things I really wanted to do during my visit to New York was walk the “High Line”. This is the newest park in NYC created from old railroad tracks on the lower west side. It is a beautiful park and even though we walked it in the dead of winter, it was still full of dried flowers, grasses and ground cover. The views are so different from the ones you get when walking the caverns of NY.
I was disappointed that only a small portion of the trail was open when I visited but it gives me another reason to plan a return trip! (Not that I needed one!)
