Valerie White and me
I had a wonderful day yesterday. I had a chance to hear a presentation by fiber artist Valerie White and what an amazing woman she is! Not only did she have us laughing for almost a full hour, her stories touched our hearts and souls and her humbling approach to showing how she became such a fabulous fiber artist made us all feel that anything is possible if you work at it hard [...]

A friend of mine sent me this link where Luana Rubin talks about my piece in Seasonal Palette. She totally gets what I was trying to do!

SAQA Seasonal Palette Exhibit
OK. I was wrong. Something I don’t usually say. But when I arrived in Houston and walked into the Seasonal Palette exhibit, I was blown away. All my complaining (and I wasn’t alone!) came to naught when I saw the beauty of the pieces created for this special SAQA exhibit. I felt totally honored that I was asked to create something for this show . And humbled too.
