Greetings, congratulations and thanks, Carol.
I tremendously enjoyed your visit to “The Quilt Show” today.
You made ‘stitching’ look so easy; I can’t wait to try your ‘stupendous’ techniques … and discover all the stitches that are ‘hiding’ in my Bernina.
I am an avid quilter and was fascinated by the edges on your artwork;
I am also curious to know exactly how you mount your work on the wall.
You mentioned the kind of glue you use but I couldn’t quite make out what you called it and where it can be purchased.
Then you specified that the ‘board’ on which you mount the work should be “a little” less long and wide so that the work stands out and not the base-board. What kind of ‘board’ do you recommend.
Thanks for your attention to this request.
Gaëtanne
Hi Gaetanne, I’m glad you enjoyed the show. The questions you asked are too detailed for me to reply in a simple post. Please visit the video section of my website for a video tutorial of rattail binding and search my blog for how to mount. I also teach this course on http://www.Craftsy.com!
Hi Carol, I discovered your website today and was so impressed that I wanted to buy your new book “Stupendous Stitching” and the 4 lots of rats tails immediately. I added them to the buy now area and then went to pay for them with my PayPal account. To my dismay I discovered that as I live in Australia I could not pay for them because I do not have an American account. I then tried to contact you through the contact area and once again was thwarted because your email is not entered correctly. I am desperate, I want, want your gorgeous book but am unable to find a way. Would you please let me know how I can purchase your masterpiece. Thank you. Nancy
Hi Nancy,
Thanks for your kind words about my book. I’m so sorry but I don’t ship internationally because I have a simple website and it can’t calculate the necessary postage or deal with customs forms. I hope to have an ebook version ready in a couple of weeks so perhaps that’s how you can read it. I will be announcing that on my blog when it’s available.
I saw you recently on The Quilt Show and have a question. You showed decorative tops that you made for clogs. I’ve gone on the Internet and found “Onesole” as the originator. These have two snaps. I thought yours had three. So, where did you get the shoes on the Internet? And what is your source for the snaps needed when you make your own tops?
Loved the techniques you demoed on the show! I’m going to try that decorative stitching.
Thanks so much
Onesole is the brand name. Happy stitching!
