Seasonal Palette 11

Now I have to see how my palette will play with my design.  Here’s what I’m thinking.  Not only is the stitching (lines) important but also the cutting away of the layers.  What to cut, what to leave,  It’s all about creating composition, texture and interest.  The interesting thing about this piece is that I am working really big so things I would normally not give too much thought to,  are getting a lot of thought right now.  I’m working [...]

Seasonal Palette 10

Online Teaching 4

My Stupendous Stitching class went live on the Craftsy.com website on Friday, December 2nd and I’ve spent the last 10 days learning how to teach online using their platform and I’m having a great time!

Within hours, they enrolled more than 100 students and now, I am teaching more than 500 students across the world. Amazing!

What a great way to extend my knowledge and help other quilters and artists learn my techniques.  I can’t wait to see if [...]
