SAQA Conference

The Studio Art Quilter’s Associates (SAQA) had their annual conference in Denver this year and it ended yesterday.  Not only was the program wonderful, but I had the chance to meet so many new people who are all into creating art quilts.

Create Denver

Denver is a wonderful supporter of artists and this is Create Denver week.  I was excited to go to two workshops this morning.  The first one was all about how to present your portfolio to art galleries.  Three gallery owners spoke about what they liked and what they didn’t and true to form, they all said something different.  Here’s what I learned:

Layered Textiles

Friday night was the opening reception for my new one-woman exhibit at the Ice Cube Gallery in Denver, CO.  So many of my friends and family came to view my work and give me support — it was hectic and wonderful.
