Sources for Inspiration

As I write this, I am thinking about my trip back home to New York City this December.  By the time you read this, it will be February and the trip will be over but I wanted to share some of my thinking about what inspiration I would like to return to Colorado with after the trip and where I’m planning to get it!

Winter in the Rockies

I have been working on a series of raw edge reverse applique pieces for my show that opens in April and am loving the process of discovering endless possibilities of design and texture by peeling away layers of cloth.  I have been using a “formula” of 2 patterns and 2 solids in my art but I spent the week in the Rockies where it has been snowing non-stop for days.  I’m thinking I want to change my formula.
