More Small Works

I’m starting to make more and more 12″ – 18″ square pieces that are meant to be displayed together in a row or in a larger square.  I like these works because of the flexibility it gives me, not only in display but in pricing.  Not everyone can afford to buy a large piece of art.

SAQA Trunk Show

To celebrate it’s 20th Anniversary, SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) asked its members to make small pieces indicative of their work.  More than 180 artists submitted pieces and the “Trunk Show” was divided into 3 groups and traveled the country, showcasing the state of the art of fiber.  Because Christi Beckmann and I are the SAQA Reps for CA, WY, and UT, we were able to bring the trunk show to Denver [...]

First Fridays
